Game Play Video
Created Assets
I created all of the 3D models for the game using low poly modelling and mid-poly bevels with weighted normals. Everything was textured with a single colour texture map, allowing for great optimisation.
Prefabs, Prefabs Everywhere!
Once I had placed all of the FBX models into Unity Game Engine, I created and placed everything into prefabs, as was the standard practice when I working in Industry. I also followed this tend and created different districts prefabs made up of building prefabs. This allowed for modular city creation and allowed me to quicking make a large map in a short period of time.
Each of the Buildings were given box colliders and the Roads were given their own unquie collider meshes. Originally, Unity based mesh colliders were used, however since the roads had floating planes for detail, this made it tricky to move on and teh car kept of getting stuck. (even more than the gameplay video).

Road placement and getting everything aligned correctly was the trickest part, spending more time on this aspect would have made the gameplay smoother. This was a downside to the district method and made aliging large areas of road together percisely a challenge.
This is the fisrt time I have done level design or even set dressing an enviorment. I throughly enjoyed the process and I am eager to make spaces/enviroments in the future.
